Luciano Spalletti will take the reins of the Italian national soccer team.
“The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has reached an agreement with Coach Spalletti to take charge of the national team and he will begin his duties on September 1,” the organization announced on its official website.
Spalletti began his coaching career at Empoli. He has since gained experience with AS Roma and Zenit St. Petersburg. The highlight was last season. Spalletti has been in charge of Napoli since 2021.
